One in six American seniors is in a battle against hunger. They are also fighting against limited mobility, safety concerns, and loneliness. With a warm, delicious meal and a friendly visit, we help fight these issues with safety checks and smiles. This combination provides the support and peace of mind that enable them to remain safely and securely in their own homes as they continue to age. We want our elderly neighbors to grow old in their own homes so they may remain happier, extend their independence, and help them stay connected to the communities and surroundings that provide them comfort. We truly believe that there is nothing like home.

About Our Meals

Our volunteers deliver meals five days a week between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. These are hot meals Monday through Friday. On Fridays we deliver a frozen meal alongside the hot meal which can be used for Saturday.

We make every effort to provide a nutritious, well-balanced meal. Each meal includes the following:

  • One serving of protein
  • Two servings of complex carbohydrates (usually 1 bread and 1 starch)
  • Two servings of either a fruit or a vegetable

Nutritionally, each meal has:

  • At least 700-900 calories
  • We try to keep sodium below 1,300 mg, but it can fluctuate.
  • We are not on a low-fat diet, but we work to keep our meals healthy.
