“Recently I had the honor of traveling to Morehead City to lead a panel discussion at the 2025 Hope Mission of Coastal Carolina Fall Symposium. It seems each time I’m with their amazing team I’m uplifted and inspired by the work being done.

Our rural coastal communities continue to be impacted by the flow of illegal narcotics and prescription medication, and the need for intervention is real.

Programs and resources are limited while the need continues to grow. Funding is limited and grant opportunities are few and far between. The strong partnerships HMCC have fostered are making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. The work being done affects families, children’s grades in school, jobs, the local economy and the overall health and wellbeing of the communities they serve.

I’m proud to give of my time and energy to help HMCC in their effort to make a positive change.”
