MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WITN) – More than 80 golfers took a swing at the Morehead City Country Club course, all to benefit Hope Mission’s Women’s Homeless Shelter.
It’s the only homeless women’s shelter in Carteret County. Currently, the group can house six women at a time.
The shelter opened back in February and officials with Hope Mission say this event will help ensure they can continue helping women get back on their feet.
